How often has coaching involved someone telling you to do something, and somehow the coaching doesn’t stick? Have you ever tried improving anything you’ve been taught by watching a video or reading a book? Did it work?

The problem with most coaching approaches is that they involve someone telling you what they may or may not know how to do. You might not value all their “expertise”. You might try some of the approaches but struggle to make them work for you. And so, you either find another coach to see what s/he might know, or you give up and do what you’ve always done.
